Sara Leberger, a 25-year-old from Nyköping who is studying to become a teacher, regularly takes the train to school. According to SVT Sörmland, Sara Leberger described that the new platform makes it much easier to get to the train, contrasting with her recent experience of a long and winding footpath. Since Monday afternoon, the new platform and the travel center's 'Track 1' have been open.
The part of the platform that has now opened is 230 meters long, according to official sources. When the bus terminal is finished, the platform will be a total of 410 meters long, the Swedish Transport Administration reported. The completion date for the bus terminal remains unknown.
It is much easier to get to the train.
It is unclear how many commuters are affected by this new platform. The total cost of the travel center project has not been disclosed. The specific challenges of the previous footpath have also not been detailed.
