Netflix added the documentary series 'The TikTok Killer' on Friday, March 6. The two-part limited series covers the disappearance of Ester Estepa, a 42-year-old woman who vanished in Spain in 2023. Her body was found in 2024 in a secluded area.

The documentary includes social media footage, messages, archive footage, and interviews with family, loved ones, and experts. Investigators and family pieced together Ester's last movements, leading them to TikTok travel content creator José Jurado Montilla, also known as 'Dynamite Montilla'. He is thought to have been the last person to see Ester alive.

José Jurado Montilla had served time in prison before his social media career but was released after the European Court of Human Rights ruled on the Parot Doctrine. He is currently in prison awaiting trial for two murders and maintains his innocence. The documentary is produced by iZen Documentales, directed by Héctor Muniente, in Spanish with English subtitles and voice actors available.

It has been branded as a perfect watch for true crime fans and is available to stream on Netflix. According to the documentary, Ester Estepa's mother kept receiving messages from her daughter long after she disappeared. She contacted a curious TikToker in a quest for answers.

Ester's loved ones last heard from her in August 2023, three days after she began her trip. Her mother grew suspicious of the messages and asked for a voice message before communication stopped. The documentary tells an intimate, fragmented investigation marked by uncertainty, using the digital world as an archive.

Many people have taken to social media to share news about the release, stating it was a 'must watch'. One person wrote: 'Tomorrow I'm watching that Tiktok K'. Netflix teases: 'Ester Estepa's mother keeps receiving messages from her daughter - long after she disappears.

' It has been teased that the series draws on archival footage and interviews to tell a story centred on the search for answers.
