The Nammo ammunition factory in Lindesberg, Sweden, is undergoing significant expansion with plans for investments totaling up to 500 million kronor over the next two years, according to reports. The factory, which produces components for large caliber ammunition, has seen its workforce grow from approximately 30 employees a year ago to over 110 currently, with plans to hire additional staff.
Andreas Burstedt, responsible for the Swedish part of Large Caliber Systems within Nammo, stated that the factory could become "a giant factory in the coming years." The expansion includes plans for a new factory section and a dedicated research center to increase production capacity.

The growth comes amid increased demand for ammunition components following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with orders exceeding the company's expectations. The factory has reportedly renovated its office building and made space for the growing workforce as part of the expansion efforts.
