Swiss cross-country skier Nadine Fähndrich has announced she will retire after the current season. She made the announcement in a video on Instagram. Fähndrich, 30, won an Olympic silver medal just two weeks ago in the team sprint with Nadja Kälin, an event won by Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling.
In the video, she said she felt the past few weeks were a fantastic time to end her career and thanked her supporters, especially her partner and family. Fähndrich has achieved multiple World Championship medals and World Cup victories during her career.
