Nabil Bahoui, a 35-year-old former Swedish international, has retired from professional football. He confirmed his decision to Sportbladet, citing family reasons. Bahoui returned to IF Brommapojkarna last season on a short-term contract that was later extended for the full season, making one assist in 14 Allsvenskan matches, including one start.
He reportedly had offers from several Swedish clubs, as well as clubs in Thailand and Morocco, but chose to retire. Bahoui is now working as a transition coach for IF Brommapojkarna's P17 and P19 teams, focusing on learning and supporting young players. He also plays for Fittja in Division II to give back to the community.
Reflecting on his career, Bahoui expressed pride in representing his country, playing for major clubs, and winning three league titles, with highlights including winning the Swedish championship with AIK and the energy from AIK supporters.
