Key Points
  • A mystery UK player won a record £181 million EuroMillions jackpot, the third-largest UK payout ever.
  • Two other UK players won over £41 million each in the same EuroMillions draw, and Friday's jackpot resets to £14 million.
  • No one won Saturday's Lotto jackpot, but three players won £1 million each, and Wednesday's 'Must Be Won' draw offers £12 million.

According to reports, the £181 million EuroMillions win occurred in a draw on Tuesday night. The jackpot is the third biggest UK payout of all time and the biggest jackpot of 2026 so far. The winning ticket was bought somewhere in the UK, but the winner has not yet come forward.

In the same Tuesday draw, two UK ticket-holders each won over £41 million after sharing the EuroMillions jackpot with a winner in France. Friday's EuroMillions jackpot resets to an estimated £14 million after the £181 million payout.

Turning to the Lotto, no ticket holders matched all six main numbers in Saturday's draw, so the jackpot was missed. Three players matched five out of six numbers plus the bonus number in Saturday's Lotto draw to win £1 million each. Wednesday's Lotto jackpot will be an estimated £12 million as it is a 'Must Be Won' draw.

In other prize news, both winners of the £1 million Premium Bonds jackpot in March held the maximum £50,000 in the account. The Premium Bonds winners in March came from Liverpool and Norfolk. In the past 12 draws, more than half of the £1 million Premium Bonds winners (15 out of 24) held the maximum £50,000.

Roughly 23 million Britons hold Premium Bonds, with around 1.4 million having the maximum £50,000 holding. Premium Bonds are the most popular UK savings account and have paid over £40 billion in prizes since launching in November 1956. The lowest holding to win the Premium Bonds jackpot in the past year was £7,000 in August.

NS&I will cut the Premium Bonds prize rate from 3.6% to 3.3% from the April 2026 draw. When people win the lottery, they have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize, after which unclaimed money goes to the National Lottery Good Causes fund.
