Mountain rescuers reached the cabin. In Ammarnäs, mountain rescue rescued a skier who had fallen down a steep slope, injuring one arm. Police were alerted at 14:00, but weather prevented helicopter flight, so the rescue took six hours.
The man was not alone; another person helped him call for help. Police press communicator Elin Andersson said he could not get away from there, especially not with an injured arm. In Norway, a woman in her 20s was injured in a paragliding accident at Gudvangen after jumping from Ramsøynuten.

In Jotunheimen, a Red Cross scooter patrol reached a male skier who needed help to get down from a mountain at about 1400 meters altitude in steep terrain.
He alerted police at 02:00 Monday night and was in good condition, being transported out of the area. Internationally, a Swedish woman in her 20s was seriously injured in a skiing accident on Japan's Mount Fuji. She and a New Zealand man went off route and slid down the side of the mountain.

According to a GoFundMe organizer, Zoey sustained shattered ribs, a brain bleed, internal bleeding, a ruptured spleen, facial fractures, a shattered eye socket, a collapsed lung, and a spinal cord injury. She remains heavily sedated in the ICU at Denver Health hospital. The GoFundMe has raised over $56,000.
Zoey herself said on social media that all three surgeries went well and she is focusing on recovery. In Sweden, TV4 profile Mattias Anderberg, 51, slipped on an ice patch in Sälen and suffered three fractures on the spinal processes in his back. According to Expressen Sport, Anderberg described that he is not in a plaster cast but golf will have to wait.
