A boat on Hinsholmen in Gothenburg is completely engulfed in flames, with the vessel on land and firefighting work ongoing after the alarm came just after 21:30 on Wednesday evening. The alarm to SOS Alarm came in at 21:29 regarding the boat fire, and when the rescue service arrived, it was determined that the boat was engulfed in flames and large smoke clouds were spreading over the area. The boat is on land, about 40 feet, and some adjacent boats may have been affected by the fire, but no one was injured. The rescue service has extinguished most of the fire and dampened it down properly, though it is unclear how long crews will remain. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
In Fredrikstad, the fire department was dispatched to Borg harbor around 11:30 on Saturday, where employees had reported heavy smoke from a pile of metal scrap stored on the quay. The first message from crews on site indicated a strong fire in a rubbish pile with lots of scrap, open flames, and a lot of black smoke. Shortly after the fire started, a crane operator on site got an idea to use a crane bucket to hold water for firefighting. The metal pile had been placed at the harbor three days ago as an intermediate station before being transported further into the area. Although they have experienced fires in metal piles before, it is the first time it has happened inside the actual harbor. Police reported that no one had inhaled smoke or suffered other injuries, but the smoke drifted towards the harbor's nearest neighborhood, Kongsten, and residents were advised to close doors and windows, while a blanket of light gray smoke moved towards Kråkerøy and Fredrikstad city center. A total of six fire trucks and about 15 people from the fire department were sent out to extinguish the fire, which is now extinguished, but the fire department will be on site overnight in case it flares up again. The cause of this fire is also unknown.
In Helsinki, the icebreaker Sisu caught fire on Thursday, according to Helsinki City Rescue Department, with the ship at Katajanokka pier at the time. The rescue department's task was only to gather information and check the premises, with seven rescue department units sent to the ship. The shipping company and police are investigating the cause of the fire, which remains undetermined.

About ten minutes later, the fire is reported extinguished, and two people were reported on board the boat when the fire started, with neither inhaling smoke and no injuries reported. The boat is now being towed to land, though the cause of the fire is not yet known.
