A multi-vehicle crash occurred on the M73 motorway in Scotland on Sunday night. The crash on the M73 involved 12 vehicles. Five people were taken to hospital from the M73 crash as a precaution.
The Scottish Ambulance Service dispatched six ambulances and two special operations response teams to the M73 crash. Two patients from the M73 crash were transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, two to the Royal Hospital for Children, and one to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Following the M73 crash, the northbound road was closed between J2 Baillieston Interchange and J2A Gartcosh Interchange.
The M73 road was cleared and reopened shortly before 4 AM on Monday. Separately, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on the M4 motorway near Chippenham on March 9. The M4 crash involved at least two vehicles.
The M4 crash occurred around 2:20 PM on March 9. The M4 westbound was closed between J17 and J18 after the crash. The M4 westbound reopened by around 3 PM on March 9.
In Devon, two people were injured in an M5 crash. The M5 southbound was closed at junction 28 and northbound at junction 29 to enable an air ambulance to land. In Queensland, Australia, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on Tamborine Mountain Road on Sunday.
Four people are in critical condition after the Tamborine Mountain Road crash. Two other passengers were taken to hospital with less serious injuries from the Tamborine Mountain Road crash. The Tamborine Mountain Road crash occurred about 10:38 AM on Sunday.
Tamborine Mountain Road was closed in both directions after the crash. The causes of the crashes on the M73, M4, M5, and Tamborine Mountain Road have not been confirmed by authorities. The current conditions of the injured people from all crashes remain unclear.
