According to Monzo, the national annual spend on subscriptions now totals £1.74 billion. The survey also found that 19% of respondents spend up to £75 per month on subscriptions, while 4% spend even more. Additionally, 38% of people have faced unexpected charges from subscriptions.

Around one in five UK adults do not know how many services they subscribe to, Monzo reported. Forgetful subscribers are most common in Yorkshire and the Humber (23%), followed by the West Midlands and Greater London (22%). The calculation behind the reported £458 annual saving also remains unexplained.
