MoDo has announced that Johan Widebro will continue as CEO, and the club is strengthening its operations by hiring Joakim Grundberg as a senior advisor. Grundberg, who previously worked as a scout for MoDo and served on its board, has spent the last twelve years as the European chief for the Philadelphia Flyers. According to MoDo chairman Ulf Strinnholm, Grundberg brings unique high-level hockey expertise.
Grundberg will reportedly benchmark MoDo's operations against top clubs in Sweden and support the general manager and assistant general manager in the men's team activities. Meanwhile, MoDo talent Milan Sundström is ranked fourth by The Athletic's Scott Wheeler for the 2027 NHL draft, after receiving exceptional status to play U20 hockey as a 16-year-old this season.
