Jan Sjöblom has taken on the role of chairman for the Allsvenskan football club Mjällby AIF since the beginning of March. He was appointed at the club's annual meeting. Sjöblom, who was born and raised in Listerlandet, has previously played for Mjällby and served on its board.
He says he felt it was natural to accept the position, describing it as the ultimate honor in the area. In a separate development, Halmstads BK has announced organizational changes. Jesper Westerberg is leaving his role as club chief to become sports chief, while Fredrik Olsson is joining as the new club chief.

Olsson, a former player for HBK, comes from the training chain Nordic Wellness, where he was a district chief. HBK's chairman Pelle Nilsson stated that the club is the only one in Allsvenskan to have combined the club and sports chief roles into one position, which he said involved an inhuman workload. He added that Olsson embodies HBK's values of hard work, professionalism, and strong local roots.
Olsson expressed excitement about returning to HBK, noting the club's special place in his heart and his commitment to contributing to its development.
