Jaffery made the statement in response to a question from MP Jørgen H. Kristiansen, a deputy representative for the Christian Democratic Party and Aust-Agder constituency. Kristiansen raised the issue hoping to secure full operation and strengthened coordination of museum operations.
The application will be processed by the department along with other applications, Jaffery said. Frolands verk is a central cultural-historical site of national and international significance with a unique connection to mathematician Niels Henrik Abel, according to official sources. It remains unclear when the department will decide on the funding application or what the total cost of the museum project is.
