A minibus fire has led to the complete closure of Road 661 near Pettbol, north of Knutby in Uppsala County. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, March 26, 2026, with emergency services receiving the alarm between 15:08 and 15:11.
According to rescue services, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames when they arrived at the scene. The driver, who reported the fire themselves, managed to exit the vehicle safely. No injuries have been reported in connection with the incident.
The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) has confirmed that traffic is affected in both directions on Road 661 between Bladåker and Pettbol. Firefighting and clearance operations are expected to continue until approximately 16:45, with traffic disruptions anticipated until at least 16:00.
The vehicle has been described as a small work vehicle or work bus. Rescue services remain on site managing the situation.
