A middle school-aged girl was struck by a van in Kalmar on Thursday afternoon and transported to a hospital by ambulance. According to police reports, the accident occurred around 2 PM near a school in the area.
Police spokesperson Evelina Olsson of Police Region South stated that the girl was conscious and able to speak when emergency services arrived. "She is awake and able to talk," Olsson told TV4 Nyheterna.
