A major multi-vehicle accident on the E4 highway north of Gävle has resulted in serious injuries and extensive road closures, according to reports from Region Gävleborg. The collision, described by tow truck operator Dan Roos as "the worst he has ever experienced," involved multiple vehicles including four trucks that ended up blocking the roadway and in ditches.
Roos, who arrived at the chaotic scene, reported that "it was chaos when I arrived. Cars were everywhere, and we had four trucks lying across the road and in the ditch." The accident required a major recovery operation involving approximately ten tow truck operators, assistance from a heavy recovery vehicle from Falun, and a crane truck.
