According to court documents reported by SVT Blekingenytt, the incident occurred in December of last year when the man, who is in his 20s, invited the girl to his brother's apartment while his brother was traveling abroad.

The two had reportedly communicated on social media, with the man claiming he had recently moved from Gothenburg to Karlskrona. The girl believed he was her age, but when she arrived at the apartment, she noticed something was amiss. "There were no moving boxes," the girl stated in police interviews.

According to the indictment, the man allegedly had sex with the girl against her will and also applied a chokehold during the encounter. The accused man admits to having sex with the girl but denies committing a crime, claiming he believed she was older. He has been in custody since the incident occurred.
