A man from Halland, initially convicted in Gothenburg District Court for aiding the murder of rapper C. Gambino, was fully acquitted by the Court of Appeal for Western Sweden. He is now applying to the Chancellor of Justice for over one million kronor in compensation.

The rapper was shot dead in a parking garage in Gothenburg in June 2024. The man states in his application that he cannot live a normal life, has suffered psychological issues since being suspected of the murder, is constantly under threat, and that old friends have distanced themselves. He is seeking 1,005,000 kronor for suffering and violation for the approximately eleven months he was deprived of liberty.

The man was first sentenced to twelve years and six months in prison in Gothenburg District Court. The Court of Appeal assessed that much indicated the man had been involved in the murder but that the prosecutor could not prove he was involved in the way alleged.
