A man in his 30s died after being crushed under a tractor plow blade in Kalix, Sweden. m. during work in central Kalix.
The man was taken with life-threatening injuries to the intensive care unit at Sunderby Hospital between Luleå and Boden, and he died over the weekend. The recycling center in Kalix is closed on Monday. Police are investigating the death as a workplace accident, and a prosecutor from the national unit for environmental and work environment cases is also investigating.
According to unconfirmed reports, this is the eighth workplace fatality in Sweden this year based on statistics from the Swedish Work Environment Authority. The municipality of Kalix stated that its focus is on supporting employees and that thoughts are with the family, relatives, and colleagues.
