A man has been sentenced to two months in prison for stealing meat from supermarkets in Nyköping, with surveillance footage playing a crucial role in the conviction. According to SVT Sörmland, the thefts occurred in March of last year when a man and woman entered a grocery store in Nyköping and stole five packages of meat worth over 2,000 SEK without paying. The entire incident was captured on the store's surveillance cameras.

Several months later, the same individuals were caught stealing meat worth over 3,500 SEK in Norrköping. The man was convicted for both thefts earlier this year and received a two-month prison sentence, partly due to being a repeat offender. The investigation against the woman was dropped as she was no longer in the country when the crimes were to be investigated.
