A man has died from injuries sustained when an ATV overturned in Risby, approximately one mile northwest of Skyttorp, on Saturday afternoon, March 14, 2026. According to initial reports from Uppsala Nya Tidning, the accident occurred during the afternoon when the ATV overturned, trapping the driver underneath. Rescue services were called to the scene after attempts to right the vehicle failed.
The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance, with his condition initially reported as unclear. Later that evening, Aftonbladet reported that the man did not survive his injuries. Police have stated it is too early to determine if there is any criminal suspicion in connection with the accident.
