Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision between the pedestrian and bus on the Corballis Road, the main access route into the airport. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has been notified and his body was taken to the mortuary at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.

The scene was preserved for technical examination and a partial road closure is in place, with local diversions. Motorists travelling to Dublin Airport were advised to allow extra time for their journey. The cause of the collision has not been confirmed, and it is unclear whether the bus driver has been identified or arrested.
