A 70-year-old man has been convicted for accidentally shooting his sister in the stomach while attempting to euthanize a dog in Ronneby municipality, according to reports from Blekinge Läns Tidning. The incident occurred in January of last year when the man, who had previously had his firearms license revoked, came to put down a dog at his sister's request. Police cordoned off the house in Ronneby municipality following the shooting. The sister required multiple surgeries for her injuries. The man has been convicted of causing bodily harm and weapons offenses, receiving a conditional sentence and 100 day-fines, according to Aftonbladet.
