Security Minister Dan Jarvis announced 25 million pounds (approximately 314 million NOK) for increased protection of the Jewish community, according to Jarvis. The UK counter-terrorism police investigated the case. Police said the man is a British citizen born in Somalia.
Police released a video of the arrest of the man on Wednesday. The conditions of the two stabbed Jewish men have not been disclosed. It remains unclear whether the stabbing is being treated as a terrorist attack.
