A man is being prosecuted at Linköping District Court for new crimes. The man, in his 20s, is suspected of assaulting another inmate in prison in January, together with three others. According to the indictment, he allegedly held the victim down and kicked them in the head along with the others.
In interrogations, the man denies the crime and refuses to answer any questions. The man was previously convicted of serious weapons and drug offenses in 2025 and is serving a five-year prison sentence. He was initially convicted in district court for a fatal shooting in a parking garage in Karlshamn in 2022 but was fully acquitted of murder charges by the court of appeal, with the court ruling he acted in self-defense.
