A man is on trial in Härnösand, Sweden, accused of pimping, drugging, assaulting, and raping his wife. The trial started at Ångermanlands District Court. According to the prosecution, the alleged pimping activity lasted over three years, from August 2022 to October 2025, and ended when the woman reported it to police.
The man is suspected of selling his wife to over 120 different men and subjecting her to repeated rapes. The woman was reportedly continuously monitored and controlled. The man is also accused of chatting with sex customers while pretending to be the woman.
He denies the charges of gross pimping and rapes. The trial is scheduled for 14 court days.
