According to police, a witness observed a man striking a woman inside a parked vehicle in Ella. The woman appeared unwilling to remain in the car, but the man drove off with her still inside. The witness contacted authorities.
Officers later located the vehicle and apprehended the suspect. He faces allegations of minor assault, unlawful deprivation of liberty, gross unauthorized driving, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Police stated that the man and woman had previously been in a relationship.
