A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted arson following a fire outside a shop in central Linköping early Friday morning. According to reports, emergency services were alerted to the incident on Ågatan around 4:07 AM after SOS Alarm received reports of an outdoor fire at a building. The fire involved some form of flammable liquid but was quickly extinguished by responding firefighters.
Police and rescue services were both on scene, and while no injuries were reported, an ambulance was present as a precaution. The suspect was apprehended in the vicinity shortly after the incident. Authorities are investigating the case as attempted murder by arson, though initial reports indicated uncertainty about whether a crime was suspected.
