Police in Åtvidaberg responded to a disturbance call on Thursday evening after reports of a fight inside a residence in the northern part of the town. According to official sources, a man in his 20s was taken to hospital following the incident. A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
Police spokesperson Mats Pettersson stated that there are indications a weapon or blunt object may have been used during the altercation. The victim was reportedly conscious and able to speak when police arrived at the scene around 5:50 PM. The extent of the victim's injuries remains unknown, according to police statements.
