Malmö FF has reportedly reached an agreement with IK Brage to sign left-back Noah Åstrand John, according to Sportbladet. The 23-year-old is expected to complete his move to the Allsvenskan club shortly. According to reports, Malmö FF has been seeking to strengthen its left-back position for some time, aiming to bring in a younger Swedish player to compete behind regular left-back Gabriel Busanello, who is currently injured.

Gasetten reported earlier that Malmö FF was interested in Åstrand John and that he did not train with Brage on Thursday. Åstrand John has been with Brage for the past year, making nine starts and 13 substitute appearances in Superettan last season. He previously belonged to Hammarby's organization and was on loan to Italian club Cagliari's youth team.

According to Gasetten, AIK and several Norwegian clubs have also shown interest in the player, but Brage reportedly turned down offers. Åstrand John still has two years left on his contract with Brage. In other transfer news, Sportbladet reports that Malmö FF has secured the signing of 17-year-old defensive midfielder Raphael Adjei from Ghanaian club Golden Boys FC, with plans for him to join the first team in 2026.

Additionally, Malmö FF reportedly attempted to sign GAIS midfielder Gustav Lundgren, offering around 20 million kronor, but GAIS has stated it does not want to sell the player.
