Mitkovska was later sent off with a red card in the 42nd minute after a foul on Växjö defender Lisa Persson. Isabella D'Aquila scored Malmö's fourth goal from a penalty. Växjö DFF played with 11 players against 10 for over half the match but could not overturn the deficit.
