Malmö FF defeated Växjö DFF 4-2 in a preseason friendly at Tipshallen in Växjö. The match took place on Friday. Malmö FF dominated much of the first half, with 17-year-old forward Alexia Mitkovska scoring the opening goal in the 27th minute.
Mitkovska was later sent off with a red card in the 42nd minute after a foul on Växjö defender Lisa Persson. Isabella D'Aquila scored Malmö's fourth goal from a penalty. Växjö DFF played with 11 players against 10 for over half the match but could not overturn the deficit.
a piss result
Växjö coach Olof Unogård reportedly called the result "a piss result" but otherwise a good run-through. Malmö FF featured several new players, including goalkeeper Zecira Musovic in her first match after maternity leave and new signing Larkin Rusell, who started against his former club.
