A significant water leak occurred in Östersund during the night leading into Monday, according to reports from SVT Jämtlandsnytt. The Valhall residential area is reportedly the most affected by the incident. Östersund Municipality has announced that Krondikesvägen will be closed while repairs are carried out to address the leak.
This is not the first such incident in the area, as a water pipe previously leaked along Krondikesvägen several years ago, though further north of the current location. The municipality is working to resolve the situation and restore normal water service to affected residents.
