Lyten has completed its acquisition of Northvolt's battery assets in Sweden, according to a press release from the company. The transaction has a total value of nearly 5 billion dollars. Matthias Arleth, CEO of Lyten Sweden, stated that with the transaction now complete, the company is happy to resume production and begin scaling up in Sweden.
The battery facility in Skellefteå is set to resume operations in the second half of 2026, where it will deliver cells.
