A man in Luleå has been sentenced to three months in prison for unlawful stalking of his ex-partner, according to court reports. The conviction follows an incident where the man reportedly took the woman's mobile phone from her hand and threw it on the ground, destroying it. The incident occurred in central Luleå when the woman was on her way to work and encountered her ex-partner.
According to the woman, this was just one in a series of threats, stalking incidents, and violations of contact bans over the past year. A witness reportedly observed the phone destruction incident and followed the man to the police station. Court documents indicate the man violated an extended contact ban against the woman on three separate occasions in addition to the phone incident.
The sentencing took place in early March 2026, with the man receiving a three-month prison term for unlawful stalking.
