Luleå Taxi AB has been selected to take over all transport routes previously operated by North Ride, which was declared bankrupt in early February 2026. According to Länstrafiken Norrbotten, the regional transport authority, the transition was finalized quickly after North Ride's bankruptcy estate announced on February 27 that operations would cease after March 6. ' Luleå Taxi AB, together with its subcontractors, will take over medical transport and special transport services on all routes previously covered by North Ride throughout Norrbotten.
' The company will operate the services across all affected locations in the region.
Considering the situation, we are today satisfied to have concluded agreements for this traffic in very quick time.
We have a good plan for the first days which are critical and phasing everything into existing operations.
