Luleå municipality in Sweden has begun its annual spring gravel cleanup earlier than usual. According to Patrik Ruumensaari, the street chief of Luleå municipality, the cleanup started about two weeks before the normal time. The amount of gravel this year is 27,500 tons, which is less than last year's 30,000 tons but still significantly higher than the normal 16,000 to 17,000 tons.
