Luleå Hockey has reportedly made a contract offer to forward Noel Gunler, according to unconfirmed reports. Gunler, who is 24 years old and was originally from Luleå, currently plays for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL. He left Luleå in 2020 and was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round of the 2020 NHL draft.
The offer comes as Luleå Hockey is also in the process of acquiring Coop Norrbotten Arena and the Delfinen block, with ideas including a museum and improved facilities. Gunler is expected to make a decision shortly, and there is reportedly interest from other SHL clubs and a more lucrative offer from a Czech club.
