Lucas Bergvall has returned to training with Tottenham Hotspur after a long injury absence. The 20-year-old Swedish midfielder was seen warming up with the team on Tuesday ahead of their Champions League match against Atlético Madrid. Bergvall reportedly injured his ankle in a match against Borussia Dortmund on January 20 and has been absent from the pitch since then.
According to reports, his presence at training is a positive sign for Tottenham and the Swedish national team. Several potential Swedish national team players are reportedly injured ahead of the World Cup playoff match against Ukraine on March 26. Alexander Isak, another Swedish player, was also reportedly seen running on his own during Liverpool's training on Tuesday after a long injury absence.
It is unclear how close Bergvall is to being fully recovered or if he completed the entire training session.
