Multiple reports indicate Lauren Wood's bag went missing between leaving Selfridges and arriving at The Londoner hotel. According to major media, security at The Londoner hotel checked CCTV and confirmed Wood did not enter the hotel with an LV bag. Wood described the incident on social media, stating she got her bag stolen in central London and later realized it was not on her shoulder.
However, other reports suggest the bag was not stolen; someone handed it into lost property, a claim Wood later supported by saying her faith in humanity was restored as someone kindly handed it in. Wood urged followers to keep their belongings safe in central London, expressing relief and gratitude for the honest person who returned it. Key unknowns remain, including how exactly the bag went missing, where and when it was found and handed in, and the identity of the person who returned it.
I got my Louis Vuitton bag stolen in central London today. Hence why I look like this.
Well, actually, it is very serious. I literally sat and realised my bag was not on my shoulder.
Five minutes later, the guy comes back, he's been to look at the CCTV cameras, and he said to me, you did not walk in the hotel with an LV bag.
So if there's one thing I've learned today, guys, it is to keep your stuff safe when you're in central London. Keep it so secure on you - keep hold of your phones, or keep your phones in your bags.
I literally feel like such a clumsy idiot right now.
Yesterday I was convinced my bag was stolen, I was panicking, I was retracing every step, I was thinking the absolute worst case scenario as we all do.
My faith in humanity has been fully restored. Actually turns out someone has kindly handed my bag in and I’ve got the bag back.
I’m honestly so, so relieved and super grateful for the person that kindly handed it in coz it goes to show there are really kind, honest people out there.
Sorry for the drama, I was in absolute meltdown mode, as you can imagine and as anyone would be.
Secondly, to the person who handed it in, I cannot thank you enough and you have genuinely restored my faith in people today.
Thirdly, to the person who DM’d me because without that DM, none of this would have even been possible and I cannot ever tell you how grateful I am for that message because without that, it wouldn’t have been possible and this is why social media can be so, so good.
I looked at Char, in a sheer state of panic in my eyes. I couldn't believe it. Literally sat and realised my bag was not on my shoulder.
I immediately started looking around the gifting place, like have I put it on a rail, or what have I done with it?
The staff were looking for it, the security were looking for it. And we said to them, "Can you look at the cameras?"
