Loret Sadiku has reportedly returned to Helsingborgs IF. The 34-year-old midfielder left Helsingborgs IF for Mersin Idmanyurdu in the summer of 2014. He then played for a series of Turkish clubs and had a two-year stint at Hammarby IF from 2022 to 2023.
Sadiku has been without a contract since the fall and has been training with Helsingborg in recent months. According to reports, he rejected offers from foreign clubs during the winter, but he did not reveal which clubs were involved. His contract with Helsingborg covers the upcoming season.
Sadiku reportedly expects this to be his last club in his career. Helsingborg has also reportedly signed new players including Alexander Fesshaie, Jakob Voelkerling Persson, and Leo Hedenberg during the winter.
