According to Borås Tidning, local politician Anne-Lie Glansin has left Sverigedemokraterna to join Moderaterna. The party switch reportedly occurred during a Thursday evening meeting of the kommunfullmäktige (municipal council). Glansin, who had held several significant positions within Sverigedemokraterna, allegedly left all her previous assignments and immediately took on new roles for Moderaterna.
The decision is said to stem from substantial dissatisfaction with her former party. This development follows recent reports that SD's group leader Glenn Glansin is leaving his political positions after suffering a stroke. In a separate but related development, Aftonbladet reports that Riksdagsledamoten Katja Nyberg has formally left Sverigedemokraterna's parliamentary group, becoming an independent member without party affiliation, citing stress and pressure from group leadership.
