A licensed hunt for lynx in Västra Götaland County, Sweden, which was set to begin on March 1, 2026, has been halted until further notice. The Administrative Court of Appeal has decided to suspend the hunt pending a final decision in the case. The decision means no hunting can start until the court rules on whether the licensed hunt can proceed.
The County Administrative Board stated in a notice that no licensed lynx hunting will occur from Sunday onward. New information will come when the Administrative Court of Appeal makes a final decision.
