Saisharan Raja, a student at Linnaeus University (LNU), has developed an AI chatbot to help non-Swedish speakers access visa information in Sweden. The idea originated from his personal experience and that of a teammate at a hackathon in Stockholm last year, where they struggled to find accurate information for visa applications, particularly regarding switching from temporary to long-term residence permits. Raja, who is pursuing a bachelor's degree in software engineering and chairs the LNU AI-society with about 200 members, hopes the chatbot will simplify the process for many people.
