In Vasastaden in Linköping, the municipality is now planning for up to 1,000 new homes. The plan is to replace old business premises with new apartment buildings. The construction project is one of several currently underway in the municipality.
Stefan Erikson (M), municipal councilor and chairman of the community building committee, says this is an important step to get more homes in Linköping and make the inner city more complete. He hopes construction will start in 2027 or 2028.
