Linköping municipality has terminated its contract with Lilja Assistans with immediate effect, starting on March 25. The municipality announced this in a press release. Lilja Assistans had an agreement with the municipality to provide personal assistance since February last year.

The municipality had previously canceled the contract after a review by Corren revealed serious misconduct. The municipality now assesses that the risk of bankruptcy is imminent for the company and therefore ends the agreement immediately. Social director Yvonne Thilander stated in the press release that the municipality is well-prepared for a takeover.
