Limited-edition coffee tin sparks frenzy in Sweden

Key Points
  • A limited-edition coffee tin from Zoegas and Rörstrand is causing a social media hype and store rushes in Sweden.
  • Stores have a very limited supply, leading to queues and raffles to distribute the tins fairly.
  • Some areas, like Sandviken, have not been able to offer the tin to customers due to the limited availability.

A limited-edition coffee tin has created a frenzy in Sweden, with people queuing and rushing into stores to get one. The tin is from coffee brand Zoegas and designed by Swedish porcelain firm Rörstrand, featuring the Mon Amie pattern. Stores have offered it as a promotion where customers can buy two coffee packages to receive a tin.

On social media, the tin has been hyped, and because stores received only a very limited number, there has been a rush to obtain one. In several stores in Värmland, to avoid the rush and make it fair, they have chosen to raffle off the tins instead. However, in Sandviken, stores have not been able to offer the tin to customers.

A competition in Värmland that benefited Stadsmissionen was found to be unauthorized.
