The limited edition Mon amie coffee cans produced by Zoégas in collaboration with Rörstrand have created a collecting frenzy across Sweden, with reports emerging of fraud attempts targeting eager buyers. Originally distributed for free with coffee purchases in early March 2026, the cans featuring classic floral patterns quickly became highly sought-after collectibles. According to Smålandsposten, at least one woman was reportedly tricked when attempting to purchase the coveted containers.

The secondary market for the cans has seen prices skyrocket, with some selling for thousands of kronor on platforms like Tradera and Blocket. In Lund, a concept store called Ö:hedd has been selling the remaining cans for 1,400 kronor each, attracting crowds who stop to photograph and discuss the items. The collecting phenomenon has been described as a 'hajp' (hype) that created a rush in grocery stores nationwide, with some sellers reportedly attempting to sell the cans for five-figure sums despite prices generally stabilizing between 500-800 kronor on most secondary markets.
