The decision was made at the annual meeting on Tuesday evening, according to the club. Outgoing leader Sven Jørgen Hoem Steen said no one expressed interest in taking over the board. 'It is with a heavy heart that we close down the club,' he stated.
The dissolution comes shortly after Lillehammer Ishockeyklubb was saved from bankruptcy on Sunday, but Steen emphasized that the supporter club's decision is not related to the hockey club's financial difficulties. 'There is nothing about the club's financial situation that makes us take this step,' he said. The hockey club's board chair, Anita Beate Sandvold, expressed sadness over the dissolution.

'Supporters are the lifeblood of a club, and we greatly appreciate everyone who has been involved over the years,' she said in a statement. Despite the disbandment, Steen believes supporter culture in Lillehammer will continue. 'We will still be in the stands and create the atmosphere we have always been part of creating,' he said.
