The Liberalerna party is holding an information meeting tonight for all its members, according to reports from Sveriges Radio. The meeting comes after the party leadership's shift in stance on the Sverigedemokraterna, where party leader Simona Mohamsson announced on Friday that the party is opening up to sitting in government with SD. Since that announcement, several prominent representatives of Liberalerna have reportedly indicated they plan to leave the party.
Party secretary Fredrik Brange and second vice party chair Lotta Edholm are leading the meeting, according to Sveriges Radio. Liberalerna's press service has declined to comment on what the information meeting is about. In October 2025, Expressen reported that Liberalerna then had 7,700 members, a halving compared to 2018.
