Draisaitl was injured early in Sunday's win against Nashville when he was tackled by Ozzy Wiesblatt and felt noticeable pain.

He attempted a few more shifts but did not return to the ice after the first intermission. The German star is currently fourth in the NHL's total points standings with 97 points (35 goals, 62 assists) in 65 games. Only Nikita Kucherov (106 points), Nathan MacKinnon (110 points), and teammate Connor McDavid (114 points) have more points.
